Practitioners: Allison Ross
Allison graduated from Leonie Blackwell's 'Essence of Healing' course with a Certificate in Wholistic Flower Essence Therapy and a Certificate in Wholistic Counselling.
After many years of benefit from using Flower Essences herself, Allison took this vocational shift from secondary school art teaching to explore how she could apply the healing tool of Flower Essences to help others.
Allison is committed to and engaged in her own on going healing work with Flower Essences. She incorporates other natural therapy modalities such as Kinesiology, Chinese Massage Therapy, Bowen Therapy, Network Chiropractic, Western Herbal Medicine, Homeopathy and Counselling.

Flower Essence Therapy
Flower Essences are a form of vibrational medicine akin to homeopathy. With Flower Essences, the healing, rebalancing vibration present in the flowers of the natural world around us has been captured and bottled. The methods used to do this are similar to those that have been used for more than two thousand years, by essentially emulating the sun drenching of dew on the petals of flowers.
Flower Essences are not related to Essential Oils, where the physical properties are extracted as an oil, rather they are the water soluble properties of the flower, which are obtained by placing them in a crystal bowl filled with spring water, and then left in the sunlight. During this process, the characteristics of the flower are transferred into the water. When the flowers are removed, a stock solution is created from the water and bottled.
Drops from the stock bottles are added to a dosage bottle filled with a solution of spring water and brandy (used to preserve the water). There is no physical plant material or biochemical active plant ingredients contained in the liquid. The liquid is generally taken orally as four drops at a time under the tongue at intervals throughout the day. The only taste is of diluted brandy.
Flower Essences are a complimentary medicine, which means they do not interfere or cause reactions with conventional medication. They are also known as wholistic (holistic), as they treat the whole person on multiple levels, be it physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. They also have the capacity to create positive effects that become reflected in ones wider life circumstances.
The experience of taking Flower Essences is often one of deep inward investigation, a shifting of negative thoughts and patterns of behaviour, followed by insight and clarity. Sometimes the changes are subtle and gradual, and are only evident over time. At other times the effects are noticeable and felt almost immediately. The intensity of this work can be reduced, by reducing the frequency of the dose down from four times a day to maybe once a day.
Flower Essences play one part in the entire picture of self-healing work and can be extremely useful to help kick start the whole process. It is recommended and encouraged that you incorporate other natural therapy modalities and further counselling to support you whilst you process the changes involved. 'Clearing out' exercises such as automatic writing and other creative outlets are also very helpful and grounding.
Allison uses flower essences from the Bach Flower (English) and Flower Essence Society (Californian) companies. Where necessary she also draws particular essences from Australian Bush, Desert Alchemy (American) and Living Essences (Western Australian) flower essence ranges.

Your Consultation
Passionflower Flower Essence Therapy takes its form as a counselling session. Allison facilitates and supports you in a therapeutic exchange of dialogue, which will help pinpoint what it is that could be preventing you from moving forward in your life. It is then determined what direction you would like to take in working towards a resolution. Allison listens, honing in on the key words and phrases you use, that could provide clues to the specific Flower Essences required.
A selection of Flower Essences are made, that when mixed together will create a symbiotic path of healing tailored for your specific and individual needs. Your Flower Essences are then placed in a small bottle with a dropper and are complimentary, to take home at the end of the session. A follow-up session is recommended by the time you finish your first bottle or earlier if more support is required. If the latter, you may need to continue with the first bottle until the essences are finished.
Fees
The fee per one hour session is $80.
