Melanie Sutherland
Clinical Psychologist
Melanie has 28 years of clinical experience, working across alcohol & other drug services and public mental health services, with 17 of these years as a Senior Clinical Psychologist. She has been in private practice for 13 years.
Melanie is skilled in working with older adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of mental health, relationship and life transition challenges. She has both extensive training and practice in her preferred therapeutic approaches, Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR – trauma focused), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Melanie is focused on providing a safe, non-judgemental and comfortable space for people. She is endorsed to provide services under Medicare, and her sessions attract a rebate (see eligibility information below). Melanie is also a Clinical Psychologist and one of the Directors of psych180.

Fees
Referrals are accepted from self-referring individuals, as well as from health professionals such as GPs, Psychiatrists, and Maternal and Child Health Nurses, etc. Medicare rebates are available for clients referred for treatment by their GP with a Mental Health Care Plan.
Fees 50 min session $240.00
Fees are paid in full at the end of each session. Rebates are paid directly back into your account on the same day as payment. Please see Medicare for more information.
