Grace John
Registered Counsellor
Grace brings a calm, grounded, and empathetic presence to her sessions, fostering a safe and welcoming environment where clients feel supported and respected. Her ability to build rapport early in the therapeutic relationship is a clear strength, allowing clients to feel at ease and engage more openly in the counselling process. She specialises in working within the LGBTQIA+SB community as a practitioner with lived experience in this community.
If you are interested in learning some effective and healthy regulation practices to benefit your central nervous system, Grace offers individualised approaches for clients through breath-work, gentle movement and grounding activities. As an artist, Grace is creative in her approach and loves the combination of art and expression with healing.
As a queer woman Grace knows the importance of having safe spaces for our LGBTQIA+SB communities and has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by LGBTIQA+SB communities from her own lived experience and her peers’ and communities lived experiences.
Using a humanistic, person-centred approach Grace works with people from all walks of life through:
- times of transition,
- identity exploration
- addictive personality behaviours
- dealing with feelings of overwhelm and isolation
Queer-affirming & neurodivergent-affirming, Grace works with the guiding values of compassion, acceptance, privacy, community & connection.
