Mental Health Social Worker and Counsellor
Emma is an accredited Mental Health Social Worker with a passion for providing counselling to individuals of all ages. With extensive experience working with children, adolescents and adults who have experienced sexual abuse, family violence, and early childhood trauma, Emma established Towards Healing to provide a safe and supportive counselling space.
Emma works with clients to create an individualised treatment approach for anyone seeking support. Emma is trained in EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT and Internal Family Systems Therapy.
Speciality
Emma specialises in providing trauma-informed counselling to children, adolescents and adults. Emma also provides support to parents and caregivers to help them to understand the impact of trauma on children and adolescents, and provides guidance on how to support them.
Treatment approaches include:
- EMDR
- CBT
- Internal Family Systems
- Provision of psychoeducation to help individuals make sense of how past experiences can continue to impact our physical and emotional wellbeing.

Fees
Sessions are 55-minute duration and cost $200
Medicare rebates are available for individuals with a Mental Health Care Plan.
The medicare rebate amount is $82.30, so the out of pocket amount for clients with a mental health care plan is $117.70.
