Ingrid Glanowski
Registered Psychologist
I am a registered psychologist with a particular interest in treating clients with trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, addiction and borderline personality disorder. I am specifically interested in clients who present with childhood trauma, and I utilise my knowledge of attachment styles and inner child work to help clients gain deeper understanding of themselves and reshape dysfunctional beliefs which are holding them back.
I have worked with teenagers and adults from various backgrounds in the community, forensic settings, and private practice, with a particular focus on those who exhibit complex and challenging behaviours. My extensive overseas travel and volunteer work with Syrian refugees in Türkiye has also provided me with experience interacting with diverse groups of people, and I have a particular interest in refugee mental health.
The environment I create in therapy is compassionate, animated and genuine. I enjoy building long-lasting and meaningful connections with clients, knowing that this can be a catalyst for a successful experience in therapy.
My approach to therapy can be described as holistic and integrative, tailored to the needs of the client. I prioritise assessing individuals thoroughly in order to tailor a treatment plan that is based on their individual needs. I encourage my clients to build a collaborative therapeutic relationship, where the client has the central role.
