Liggia is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with over 20 years professional experience spanning women’s services, family violence, community development, aged care, youth services, community health counselling, group work, veterans and perinatal mental health services. Liggia works with mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety, trauma, alongside life transitional and health issues including: relationship changes, grief and loss, chronic health and managing stress.
Specialties:
Early in her career, Liggia worked closely with women from a diverse range of cultures, backgrounds and ages providing safe housing, advocacy and counsel for those experiencing family violence. This work sparked a special interest in the mental health and well-being of women, marginalized, and traumatised people and communities.
A well-regarded clinician, Liggia’s private practice has helped hone her interests, strengths and experiences, leading to the development of special interests in grief loss and bereavement, and perinatal mental health.
She completed perinatal training with The Perinatal & Infant Mental health Training & Development Institute (Gidget Foundation Aust) & The Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE) and works alongside organisation’s such as Gidget Foundation Australia and Mums Matter Psychology to support the emotional wellbeing of expectant and new parents.
Liggia also has a keen personal interest in neurodiversity. As an ADHD’er herself, Liggia recognises the unique needs of this community.

Fees
Standard counselling fee is $200 per 55-minute session.
Clients with a Mental Health Care Plan may be entitled to receive a Medicare Rebate of $85.20.
Qualifications
Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and Counsellor
Grief, Loss & Bereavement, Perinatal mental health specialisations
Registered provider with Medicare & NDIS (self-managed or planned managed).
